Young Malaysian talent Lavender Kok Yun Xi making way to the international arena

Lavender Kok Yun Xi is one of the young models gaining attention in Malaysia for her confidence and persistent training spirit. She began getting familiar with the runway at just four years old and has gradually matured through catwalk practice sessions and appearances at the International Fashion Runway. Winning the Champion title in the Preteen category of Face of Malaysia 2025 gave Lavender the opportunity to represent Malaysia at Face of Asia Kids & Junior in South Korea. She is expected to continue developing steadily in the future.

An emerging maturity from a young talent’s first catwalk steps

At the age of nine, Lavender Kok Yun Xi had already spent over five years familiarizing herself with the runway, an impressive feat for young fashion audiences in Malaysia. She began modeling at just four years old, driven by a natural love for posing and performing. Over time, Lavender became a child model under ICPG Academy & Entertainment, where she had the opportunity to participate in the International Fashion Runway, a stage for young talents to showcase their style and performance skills.

According to her family, Lavender always demonstrates meticulousness before each practice and shows a maturity beyond her years. She views modeling as a way to train herself, from stage presence and posture skills to interacting with lights and the performance space. These experiences have gradually helped Lavender develop calmness and confidence—essential qualities for a young model in major events.

Outstanding achievements at Face of Malaysia 2025 and the chance toward international stages

One of Lavender’s most important milestones is winning the Champion title in the Preteen Category at Face of Malaysia 2025. For Lavender, this achievement represents years of persistent effort and serious training.

The Face of Malaysia 2025 title opened the opportunity for Lavender to represent Malaysia at Face of Asia Kids & Junior in South Korea, a platform that brings together contestants from many Asian countries. Being selected from the national stage to compete internationally motivates Lavender to remain committed to the path she has chosen.

Her family shared that Lavender feels extremely excited about this new journey, as it is not only a stage to showcase her talent but also an opportunity to learn about culture, performance styles, and the spirit of camaraderie among young fashion enthusiasts.

A joy off-stage: K-pop

Although Lavender has been involved in fashion from an early age, she still enjoys age-appropriate hobbies. She loves singing and particularly enjoys K-pop dancing, an activity that allows her to freely express positive energy. These lively dance routines also help Lavender maintain rhythm, improve her posture, and control her body while on the catwalk.

Lavender’s parents shared that music helps her stay optimistic and balance school, practice, and performance activities. K-pop also serves as a source of inspiration for her confidence, which she carries with her every time she steps onto the runway.

A disciplined mindset and long-term development goals in modeling

Lavender shared that what helps her maintain a positive mindset in a competitive environment is consistent practice. She takes every opportunity to refine her posture, rehearse walking, and observe how professional models present themselves. Her mindset of “making a little progress every day” allows Lavender to maintain steady development.

At present, she has not set overly ambitious goals. She said she wants to cherish every opportunity, continue improving her skills, and explore different performance styles. Nevertheless, Lavender also has long-term dreams: to collaborate with multiple brands, inspire other children who love fashion, and use her own abilities to support those aspiring to enter the industry.

These reflections show that Lavender sees modeling not only as a source of joy but also as a journey of gaining experience and personal growth. Her seriousness and sense of responsibility make her stand out among other young performers.

With support from her family and structured training, Lavender Kok Yun Xi is expected to continue advancing in international fashion events. At nine years old, she is building a solid foundation through confidence, a learning mindset, and professional poise—qualities that promise to help her shine on many stages in the future.
