Australians eager to secure residences on Crescent Seas’ luxury residential cruise ships—prices up to $15 million

The innovative Miami-based Crescent Seas is attracting global buyers, including Australians, who are excited to own floating luxury homes that combine world travel with upscale living.

A new era of residential cruising: Crescent seas launches luxury floating communities

Crescent Seas, the Miami-headquartered residential cruise company, is reshaping the future of luxury travel with its groundbreaking concept: selling private residences aboard ultra-luxury cruise ships. Having acquired the Seven Seas Navigator from Regent Seven Seas and Oceania Insignia from Oceania Cruises, Crescent Seas plans to launch a brand-new build, catering to a growing market of affluent travelers eager to combine homeownership with world exploration.

In an exclusive interview with Cruise Passenger, Russell W. Galbut, Founder and Chairman of Crescent Seas and a prominent Miami property developer, confirmed that Australians are already showing strong interest in this novel lifestyle. Reflecting this demand, the company is planning to establish an office in Australia to better serve the Asia Pacific region. Galbut noted, “We’ve received interest from clients in Australia who are intrigued by the idea of owning a residence at sea on The Navigator. The concept of combining luxury living with global travel has resonated well.”

Luxury residences at Sea: Pricing, lifestyle, and customization

The Crescent Seas concept transforms cruise ship suites into private residential units available for purchase. Prices on Insignia will range from approximately $1.01 million to $15 million, with a monthly “community fee” of around $17,000 that covers ship operations, excluding food and beverages. On The Navigator, launching in late 2026, there will be 210 private residences with prices ranging from $1.1 million to $8 million. Meanwhile, The Insignia will debut in December 2027, offering 290 residences priced between $750,000 and $12 million.

Galbut describes life aboard these ships as a “life of luxury, exploration, and community,” appealing particularly to Australians who value the freedom to travel the world without sacrificing the comforts and familiarity of home. The ships are designed to foster a tight-knit community of like-minded residents from across the globe.

Residences can be leased out by owners, provided stays last longer than a month, and guests or relatives are welcome to visit for unlimited durations. The itineraries cover all seven continents, blending well-known landmarks with off-the-beaten-path destinations, creating an experience beyond typical cruise routes. After the first 14 months of predetermined voyages, residents will participate in shaping future itineraries, truly making it a community-driven adventure. On the design front, the apartments aboard The Navigator will feature interiors by leading design firms MAWD, Journey, and Lissoni, with opportunities for personal customization to ensure each residence reflects its owner’s unique taste and lifestyle.

Strategic growth and expanding horizons

With a growing pipeline of interested buyers from Australia and Asia, Crescent Seas is eyeing the Asia Pacific as a key market. “While we haven’t finalized opening an office yet, it is certainly part of our international expansion roadmap as demand continues to build,” Galbut revealed.

The company confirms that Australia will be included in its global itineraries, promising local buyers the chance to embark on journeys from their home shores. This addition strengthens Crescent Seas’ appeal to Australians who seek to combine world travel with luxury living and community engagement at sea.

As the residential cruise industry continues to evolve, Crescent Seas is pioneering a new form of luxury real estate that merges the comfort of a permanent home with the adventure of global exploration. For Australians and other international clients ready to embrace this lifestyle, Crescent Seas offers an unprecedented opportunity to own a slice of the world on the waves.

For those interested in joining this exclusive community or learning more about availability and pricing, Crescent Seas encourages potential residents to connect through their website or upcoming regional offices as they expand internationally. The promise of combining luxury living with a world-class travel experience has certainly set Crescent Seas apart as a leader in the burgeoning residential cruise market.
