Inside KATSEYE’s Tattoo Diaries: Every Member’s Ink, Decoded

Since their breakout on The Debut: Dream Academy, the six members of KATSEYE have captured fans’ hearts not only with their addictive tracks and flawless choreography, but also with their personal style — which includes bold beauty looks, ever-changing hair colors, and yes, body modifications. Tattoos and piercings have increasingly become part of their self-expression toolkit, and for several members, they serve as a canvas for memory, identity, and just plain fun. While Lara and Manon have been especially open about their body art choices, other members are also getting in on the action. Whether you’ve been closely tracking every glimpse of ink in their photoshoots or just want a complete breakdown, we’ve compiled everything there is to know about KATSEYE’s tattoos — member by member.

Lara: The tattoo trailblazer

Lara Raj is, hands down, the most inked member of KATSEYE. With eight tattoos and counting, she blends symbolism and sentiment with striking placement. Her body art has become part of her identity as a performer — often glimpsed in live shows, photoshoots, and even music videos like “Gnarly.”

Each piece reflects a personal story. Behind her ear sits a small scorpion, referencing her zodiac sign. On her ring finger, the letters “ZZZ” nod to her three cats — a detail that reveals her love for her furry companions. Her hand is adorned with a cluster of stars arranged in the Taurus constellation, a tribute to her late grandmother.

Other designs are deeply emotional. On her wrist is a quote from Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know” — “Love is life and life is free” — inked in the handwriting of two of her best friends. “Habibi,” Arabic for “my love,” sits on her forearm as a family tattoo shared among relatives. She also carries cultural pride with the Tamil word “Paranji” on her shoulder, her grandfather’s name. Completing the lineup are two tattoos on her ribs: the Scorpio symbol and the Roman numerals IV/V (April 5), honoring her sister Rhea’s birthday. Lara’s ink is as layered and thoughtful as the stories behind them — a blend of aesthetic and heart that mirrors her artistry.

Manon: Playful and personal

Second in tattoo count is Manon Bannerman, whose four tattoos are as unique and carefree as her personality. Known for her bold style and unfiltered charm, Manon’s ink choices reflect a sense of fun and individuality. Three dots adorn her middle fingers, often visible in her Instagram selfies and performance shots. On her ring finger, she has a detailed fine-line design crafted by LA-based tattoo artist Arbel — a favorite among celebrities like Bad Bunny. Her inner bicep sports the word “Ham,” which she once explained as “just bc i’m hot as a mf.” The kicker? It’s written in the handwriting of three of her friends, each contributing one letter.

The most dramatic of her tattoos is “Femme fatale” inked across her ribs, a fitting phrase for someone who commands attention with every move. While her tattoos are mostly spontaneous, each one holds a memory or joke that stays close to her — literally.

Megan: Quietly meaningful

Megan Skiendiel might not have as many tattoos as Lara or Manon, but her three pieces pack a heartfelt punch. Megan’s ink leans more toward subtle symbolism and personal connections, reflecting a quieter but no less meaningful form of self-expression.

Her first tattoo, a simple star outline on her ribs, was chosen for its aesthetic appeal — no deep meaning, just her love for the cosmos. Behind her left ear, she has the Chinese symbol for “Qi” (Chi), a nod to her cultural heritage and a way to embrace the idea of inner energy and strength. Most recently, just before Mother’s Day in May 2025, Megan debuted “Love Love” on the back of her arm. It’s inked in her mother’s handwriting and honors a sweet family saying passed down from her grandmother. With every tattoo, Megan shares a quiet chapter of her personal story.

Yoonchae, Daniela, and Sophia: Ink-free… for now

As of now, Yoonchae, Daniela, and Sophia remain the only KATSEYE members without tattoos — but that may not be the case for long. During an April 2025 livestream, Lara floated the idea of getting group tattoos to mark their friendship once Yoonchae turns 18. (In case you’re counting down, her birthday is December 6, 2007.)

Whether it’s matching ink or something more personal, fans are already buzzing about what a future group tattoo might look like. Considering KATSEYE’s reputation for turning every detail into a moment, there’s a good chance it would be as iconic as the members themselves.

Inked identities in the spotlight

For KATSEYE, tattoos are more than trend statements — they’re visual diary entries inked in real time. Whether it’s Lara’s emotional tributes, Manon’s playful designs, or Megan’s quiet symbols of love, each tattoo adds another layer to the group’s vibrant identity. As their journey continues and their styles evolve, fans can expect more glimpses into what moves them — not just through lyrics and dance, but also through the art they choose to carry on their skin. One thing’s for sure: KATSEYE’s tattoos are as unforgettable as their music.
